50 Round Drill

Tip:

Just found another good way to spend 50 rounds. This drill is focused more on developing speed over developing handling skills.

The Drill:

-Use a standard USPSA or IDPA style silhouette-

-Set magazines or cylinders to hold 5 rounds-

From 3 Yards at the low ready (handgun in 2 handed grip and aimed below the target)

Low ready, raise and fire 1 shot.

Repeat, firing 2 shots.

Repeat, firing 3 shots. This means that a reload will be required between round 2 and 3.

Repeat, firing 4 shots.

(Repeat the process for 5, 7, 10 and 15 yards)

Alterations:

A time constraint is not used in the original version of this drill, but can be added. Also, this drill could be done from the holster instead of from the low ready position. In any case, pushing the time limit while still keeping ALL shots within the center zone is the goal.
