This is a drill from Bill Blowers at Tap Rack Tactical. It is a rifle drill focused on good hits at different distances and ensuring that you have solid fundamentals. There are 3 presentations, rapid shooting, and 2 reloads.
The Targets:
3 USPSA targets, set at 10, 15 and 25 yards. Mark off the top half of the A zone. Only the upper half of the A zone counts.
The Setup:
Load 3 magazines with 5 rounds each. Put the other two magazines in your pouches or pockets. Make a point to use the gear you would normally have with you.
The Drill:
With a loaded rifle at the low or high ready, fire 5 rounds into target 1 at 10 yards. Reload with another 5 round magazine. Fire 5 rounds at the target at 15 yards. Reload again and fire 5 rounds at the 25 yard target.
The Time:
For a good run, you should be around 15 seconds. If you missed a shot outside the scoring zone, add a second to your time.
Have fun!
