Equipment: Safariland ALS Holsters

The Safariland ALS system is designed to give retention to a traditional open top, outside the waistband holster. The design allows for active retention without needing to manually secure it after re-holstering.

In contrast to some of the finger release retention devices, this allows you to keep your finger high and away from the trigger. The unique push to release system is operated by the strong hand thumb and releases easily, while keeping the firearm secure while holstered.

This system is offered for many models, including some pistol/light combinations. Safariland's attachment system can also be changed if you need to mount a paddle, belt loops, drop leg or MOLLE attachments.

For outside the waistband carry, especially for open carriers, this is an excellent option.
