The Streamlight MacroStream is the new generation of very small light with good output. It is a larger version of the MicroStream that is a penlight with a significantly lower output.
The MacroStream is a rechargeable battery light with a length of 4.5 inches and weighs just over 2 ounces. The best part of the light is that it puts out 2000 candella with 500 lumens and still fits easily in a pocket and the palm of the hand.
This light recharges with a USB micro port, and will hold its charge for quite a while. At this time, there are no replacements available for the rechargeable battery. This has not kept it from becoming my daily carry flashlight. While I have far more capable flashlights, I choose to carry this light based on the overall profile, output and ease of use. This light is short enough and small enough diameter to carry easily, though the short size may be an issue for larger hand.
