Warning: This is an explicit Podcast. There is course language and cursing. Listener discretion is advised.

Primary and Secondary is a law enforcement and military based podcast with an emphasis on getting good accurate information to good people. While the podcasts will sometimes have a civilian carry theme, often they are more applicable to the armed professional.

This podcast, however, will apply to anybody who carries a firearm for defense. It is a great podcast on wound ballistics. The key guest, Dr Gary Robert's, is very versed in wound ballistics, even participating in testing of abnormal cartridges (in excess of 6000 feet per second projectiles). His experience and research are extensive and are valuable in ammunition selection, as well as target angle selection.

What I mean by this is that he has done as much research as he can into what ammunition will work the best to defend your life, but also handles at which to approach the human target we may have to shoot. He also talks about how, in most handguns, we are poking holes, and the need to poke them in the right place is imperative. His assertion that the human ability to put the round through something important is far more important than the round itself having some new impressive capability. He talks about wadcutters and the sharp leading edge, as well as modern hollowpoints, finding them both to be good options, but only if placed properly.

It's a great, nerdy, scientific take on ballistics, and I highly recommend it.
