Bill Blowers is a former police officer, SWAT operator and all around hard charger. His company, Tap-Rack Tactical, teaches both cops and citizens. His courses include everything from diagnostic pistol skills to SWAT shield entry tactics. He is the quintessential "SWAT man".
The Jill Drill is a Drill developed by Blowers to test all around skill level. You will perform a draw, a reload, and a malfunction clearance, while keeping up a good speed while firing.
Those drill is this:
Load 10 rounds of ammunition, and one dummy round into 2 magazines. The drill will be shot from 7 yards. Distribute all the ammo and the dummy into both magazines. Each magazine can have any number of live rounds, and the dummy round cannot be the first or last round in a magazine. On the signal, draw and fire all 10 rounds in 10 seconds. The target size is 6 inches, or the black center of a B8.
This drill is a great Benchmark to work on every once in a while. Keep at it and keep track of your times and score.
